We've had sooo much fun on vacation this week! We've spent lots of time at the beach and in the pool, which has enhanced my tan significantly. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous. I have thoroughly enjoyed visiting the neighboring beaches. While each town has a personality and style all its own, everything is aesthetically pleasing! Seaside is filled with quaint cottages surrounded by white picket fences. Alys Beach is modern and chic. The town center at Rosemary Beach has a European flair. I could go on and on... bottom line: the beaches of South Walton are a fantastic place to visit!!

Yesterday, we spent the day in Destin... hitting Destin Commons and the Silver Sands outlet stores for some serious shopping. We also caught a movie (THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM) at the fabulous Rave theater. We got a deal on a seafood buffet through our rental agency, so we decided to take advantage of it for dinner while we were in Destin. Captain Kidd's was certainly an interesting place... we were greeted by "The Captain" himself, aka a grown man dressed in a pirate costume! It reminded me of a dining establishment that would be featured in one of those Chevy Chase "VACATION" movies. LOL! The food was pretty good though, and there was LOTS OF IT!! They kept the crab legs flowing... we were all quite stuffed by the time we left.
