american idol 7 - top 12 guys

The theme is 60's night.

David Hernandez - IN THE MIDNIGHT HOUR - pretty decent start to the evening... liked how he changed things up at the beginning of the song, but that's about it. Reminded me of Rudy Cardenas from season 6, which isn't necessarily a good thing.

Chikezie Eze - MORE TODAY THAN YESTERDAY - Can you say Chikezie cheesy? What a yucky song choice! He looked and sounded like a lounge singer.

David Cook - SO HAPPY TOGETHER - loved the voice, hated the song choice. Rocker lite. He's promising, though.

Jason Yeager - MOON RIVER - Breakfast at Tiffany's: fabulous. Jason's rendition of Moon River: not so much. Boring and forgettable.

Robbie Carrico - ONE - niiice song choice, watered down rock vocal though. Like Simon, I'm not so convinced he's a true rocker. Pop singer in grunge-like clothes, maaaybe.

David Archuleta - SHOP AROUND - love, love, love this guy's voice! Totally upbeat and fun!! His personality is absolutely adorable.

Danny Noriega - JAILHOUSE ROCK - Oh snap! Personality with a capital P!! Loooved it.

Luke Menard - EVERYBODY'S TALKIN - unimpressive.

Colton Berry - SUSPICIOUS MINDS - not the best, not the worst... more karaoke than anything.

Garrett Haley - BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO - major snooze fest, not such a great first impression.

Jason Castro - DAYDREAM - quite memorable, one of the best performances of the night! What a pleasant surprise!!

Michael Johns - LIGHT MY FIRE - I swooon! Excellent song choice, charismatic performance!! My personal fave.

** MY TOP 6 ** Michael Johns, David Archuleta, Jason Castro, David Cook, Robbie Carrico, Danny Noriega
