Congrats to Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas for winning season 6 of Dancing With the Stars! While her victory does not necessarily come as a surprise to me personally, previous seasons have proven that the best dancer doesn't always win... *cough* Mario Lopez *cough*.

Although many of her routines possessed a high degree of difficulty, she danced them with great technical proficiency and showmanship week after week. Her skills were on a whole other level, which could not have been more apparent than during the finale. When all three contestants had to CHA CHA in the same routine and to the same music, it was clear who was the best dancer.

Her high energy and thoroughly entertaining freestyle was jam packed with intricate choreography and challenging lifts (props to Mark). I absolutely loved it, and she is totally deserving of the win! Kristy is the highest scoring contestant ever and only the second woman to take home the mirror ball trophy. Girrrl power!!
